Why this ecosystem exists
SuperBowl Nashville exists because the biggest event in this city's history shouldn't enrich only the biggest companies. Here's the case for an independent, Nashville-first ecosystem.
When Nashville was awarded Super Bowl LXIV, we saw an unprecedented opportunity — and a significant risk. Past host cities have shown that without coordinated preparation, the economic benefits of a Super Bowl concentrate among large corporations and national chains, while local small businesses struggle to compete. We built SuperBowl Nashville to change that equation.
The Gap
In past host cities, we observed: 40–60% of Super Bowl vendor contracts went to out-of-state companies. Local businesses that didn't prepare 12–18 months in advance were largely shut out. Diverse-owned businesses received a fraction of their potential share. Small businesses faced cash flow crises from game-week demand they couldn't serve. Information about opportunities was fragmented and inaccessible.
