Market Opportunity
Security is mandatory for all major Super Bowl events. The NFL requires licensed security at all official venues. Private events, corporate gatherings, and nightlife venues will all increase security during game week. Total security spend across a Super Bowl host city: $10-20 million.
Licensing
Tennessee Private Protective Services license (TCA § 62-35). Individual guard registration (armed and unarmed). Armed guard endorsement (additional training and testing). Company license renewal annually. Background check (FBI fingerprint) for all personnel.
Training Certifications
Minimum 8 hours pre-assignment training (TN requirement). CPR/First Aid/AED certification for all personnel. De-escalation and crisis intervention training. Active shooter response training. Crowd management certification for events 1,000+. ASIS CPP or PSP certification preferred for supervisory roles.
Event Staffing Ratios
Industry standard ratios: 1 guard per 100 guests (general events). 1 guard per 75 guests (alcohol-serving events). 1 guard per 50 guests (high-profile/VIP events). 1 armed guard per 250 guests (visible deterrence). Supervisors: 1 per 8-10 guards on site.
